Vermas, co-Vermas and simple modules

Let 𝒪 ^ = isomorphism classes of irreducible finite dimensional   ℤ-graded   𝔤 0 -modules

If L 0 λ ∈ 𝒪 ^ then L 0 λ is concentrated in a single degree. Let U=U 𝔤 , U ≥0 =U 𝔤 ≥0 and U=U 𝔤 , U ≤0 =U 𝔤 ≤0 , where 𝔤 ≥0 = ⊕ i∈ ℤ ≥0 𝔤 i and 𝔤 ≤0 = ⊕ i∈ ℤ ≤0 𝔤 i .

The Verma module and the coVerma module are Δ λ =U ⊗ U ≥0 L 0 λ and ∇ λ = Hom U≤0 U L 0 λ .

The modules L λ = unique simple quotient of  Δ λ = unique simple submodule of  ∇ λ , for λ ∈ 𝒪 ^ are the simple objects in 𝒪.
